The BlackBerry is Back!

As you all know the BlackBerry is back and better before.

I recently wrote a post about the Z10 which I loved. Check out my post HERE

As for the Q10, it has similar characteristics to that of the Z10. Here are some of my favorite features.

  • The keys are tighter and closer than before with Q10.
  •  You can post a tweet or Facebook status directly from your Hub. Type “tw” or “fb” and your message from the Hub and it will connect.
  • When you search for Tim your friend it gives you their contact info and you can click updates and it will search for info regarding that person.
  • How about the incredible battery life! The Q10 has a removable very large battery very large battery. The larger battery makes for a longer lasting experience.
  • I found this incredibly interesting…. instead of a white background they made it a black background this actually helps the battery life! Who knew?
  • You can video chat with the BBM!
  • You can share what’s on your phone/desktop.

Blackberry combines personal and work. You no longer need to carry multiple devices, plus you are able to still separate them both with one simple device. Amazing!

Up All Night – Jawbone Up Review

292602_10151393301016666_599832635_n

Being a Verizon Wireless Ambassador I’m able to try out fun new products that help make your life easier, more organized and in this case more aware.

I recently tested out the Jawbone Up which is a rubber bracelet that tracks your movement, sleep, etc. Since I’ve been trying to make a lifestyle change lately this was a perfect new gadget for me to test out.

“UP™ is a system that takes a holistic approach to a healthy lifestyle. The wristband tracks your movement and sleep in the background. The app displays your data, lets you add things like meals and mood, and delivers insights that keep you moving forward.”

I know I sleep a lot. I always have. It was interesting for me to see how much I actually sleep, how long it takes me to fall asleep, etc. Some days I slept for 9 hours some for 7. But it’s interesting to see how long it takes to fall asleep and how many “real” hours I was actually sleeping. If I had a super busy day with a lot on my mind, it took me longer to fall asleep. While that may not be that surprising I think it’s pretty cool that the Jawbone knows and recognizes that.

I also like that it tracks my steps throughout the day. I’m also able to include my workouts and input what I did at the gym that day.

The Jawbone is very easy to use. Just set it up, turn it on, put it on and go about your day. Then all you have to do is hook your Jawbone up to your phone for it to upload all your new information. You can create a team and share your progress with your friends and family or just monitor it for yourself.

If you are interested in becoming more aware of your movements, sleep, and overall health, this is a gadget you need to invest in.

The BlackBerry Z10

I’m gonna brag for a sec… as you know I’m a Verizon Wireless Lifestyle Blogger, and with that comes lots of perks, products and hanging out with some cool peeps.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you know that the BlackBerry Z10 launched in March. I had the opportunity to meet up with fellow ambassadors last month to learn all about the new BlackBerry Z10 and guess what? Oh yeah I got one too.

Thursday night we all had an amazing dinner at Café Un Deux Trois  followed by cocktails at the Paramount Hotel (where we stayed).

Friday we spent the day at a Verizon store in NYC learning all about the company, new products and more. That was when I received the new BlackBerry Z10.

Ok so here’s the scoop. I love my iPhone, but I have to tell you that this phone kind of reminded me of it with how user friendly it is.

I have 2 fave features. One is the fact that I can create a document (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and send it in a variety of ways (via text, email, etc.). I think this is a great feature for business owners especially.

The second feature I love is the Share Your Story feature. With this feature you can take photos and then upload them into this app and make it a movie, complete with background music. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this feature. Perfect for vacations, if you’re on the go, anything and super easy to use. All you have to do is upload the photos, give it a title, pick background music and then you can upload it to your social media networks, email it, post to YouTube, anything. Did I mention I love it?

Ok, so I’m kinda bad at taking photos, but I did take a few during my NYC Verizon trip and I uploaded them in to the Share Your Story feature.

Seriously how cool is this?

If you are a photo junkie or business owner you seriously need this phone. There are so many cool things you can do with it. What are you waiting for? Check out the BlackBerry Z10 HERE site to learn more.

Getting Fit with the FitBit Zip

6 weeks ago I joined a gym. Work Out World, cause I’m Jersey Strong. I absolutely love it! It was finally time for me to get healthy, get in shape and lose this weight. So far I’ve been sticking to the treadmill and I keep upping my pace, incline and the amount of time I’m on the treadmill.

I also use the app My Fitness Pal to track my fitness, food, etc. I love that I can use it on my phone (especially since its always with me). My doctor had recommended My Fitness Pal to me and is a huge advocate of this app.

So when Verizon sent me the FitBit Zip I was thrilled. What perfect timing! Not only can I track my fitness while at the gym but also throughout the day as I just keep it on and it tracks my steps, distance, etc. all day. At the end of the day I just put my Fit Bit next to my computer and it automatically syncs wirelessly.  Easy Peazy!

What’s even better is that I can export my FitBit information into My Fitness Pal. Amazing! It also works with other apps including:  Lose It, Run Keeper, Map my Fitness, Endomondo and Spark People.

FitBit also allows you to earn badges for your successes, challenge friends and more.

If you have made the choice to start getting healthier, or if you have already been on the right path, the FitBit is for you. It’s a super easy way to track your progress and stay motivated as well as challenge yourself. Let’s face it we are all a little competitive even with ourselves.

Never Get Lost Again! – Droid DNA

I’m a mess when it comes to directions. I have no idea what Route/Turnpike/Parkway takes me anywhere. Which is why I always rely on my GPS. However, if I’m walking around a large city I’m obviously not carrying around my bulky GPS with me.

Recently my husband and I drove into Philly to visit friends who recently had a baby. Because it’s Philly we ended up having to park a million miles away. We got out of our car and had no idea where we were cause we were blocks away from our friend’s house.

Wait a minute! I said. I have GPS on my phone! Perfect! With ease, I entered in our destination on my Droid DNA. I had the option of it giving me directions or navigation. With the navigation feature it will speak to you and verbally give you directions just like a GPS you would use in your car. Love that! Especially since our hands were filled with baked ziti, meatballs and tons of gifts for the little one. I kept the Droid DNA in my pocket and had it on navigation and we arrived at our destination no problem! droid_dna_power_screen

I’ve seen other phones that offer a GPS but they typically only show directions and don’t tell them to you. That’s my favorite feature on a GPS. I don’t want to have to read and pay attention to a screen I need to pay attention to the road.

The Droid DNA is perfect for those who live in the city and need directions easily, as well as anyone who doesn’t own a GPS too. But honestly, the Droid DNA has so many cool features besides the GPS. That just happens to be one of my faves. I love its large screen, the colors are super vibrant and I love the sound quality. After all it is Beats Audio.

Stay tuned for more on how the Droid DNA supports the way I live.

AND – Never get lost again with the Droid DNA!
