Up All Night – Jawbone Up Review

Being a Verizon Wireless Ambassador I’m able to try out fun new products that help make your life easier, more organized and in this case more aware.

I recently tested out the Jawbone Up which is a rubber bracelet that tracks your movement, sleep, etc. Since I’ve been trying to make a lifestyle change lately this was a perfect new gadget for me to test out.

“UP™ is a system that takes a holistic approach to a healthy lifestyle. The wristband tracks your movement and sleep in the background. The app displays your data, lets you add things like meals and mood, and delivers insights that keep you moving forward.”

I know I sleep a lot. I always have. It was interesting for me to see how much I actually sleep, how long it takes me to fall asleep, etc. Some days I slept for 9 hours some for 7. But it’s interesting to see how long it takes to fall asleep and how many “real” hours I was actually sleeping. If I had a super busy day with a lot on my mind, it took me longer to fall asleep. While that may not be that surprising I think it’s pretty cool that the Jawbone knows and recognizes that.

I also like that it tracks my steps throughout the day. I’m also able to include my workouts and input what I did at the gym that day.

The Jawbone is very easy to use. Just set it up, turn it on, put it on and go about your day. Then all you have to do is hook your Jawbone up to your phone for it to upload all your new information. You can create a team and share your progress with your friends and family or just monitor it for yourself.

If you are interested in becoming more aware of your movements, sleep, and overall health, this is a gadget you need to invest in.

The BlackBerry Z10

I’m gonna brag for a sec… as you know I’m a Verizon Wireless Lifestyle Blogger, and with that comes lots of perks, products and hanging out with some cool peeps.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you know that the BlackBerry Z10 launched in March. I had the opportunity to meet up with fellow ambassadors last month to learn all about the new BlackBerry Z10 and guess what? Oh yeah I got one too.

Thursday night we all had an amazing dinner at Café Un Deux Trois  followed by cocktails at the Paramount Hotel (where we stayed).

Friday we spent the day at a Verizon store in NYC learning all about the company, new products and more. That was when I received the new BlackBerry Z10.

Ok so here’s the scoop. I love my iPhone, but I have to tell you that this phone kind of reminded me of it with how user friendly it is.

I have 2 fave features. One is the fact that I can create a document (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and send it in a variety of ways (via text, email, etc.). I think this is a great feature for business owners especially.

The second feature I love is the Share Your Story feature. With this feature you can take photos and then upload them into this app and make it a movie, complete with background music. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this feature. Perfect for vacations, if you’re on the go, anything and super easy to use. All you have to do is upload the photos, give it a title, pick background music and then you can upload it to your social media networks, email it, post to YouTube, anything. Did I mention I love it?

Ok, so I’m kinda bad at taking photos, but I did take a few during my NYC Verizon trip and I uploaded them in to the Share Your Story feature.

Seriously how cool is this?

If you are a photo junkie or business owner you seriously need this phone. There are so many cool things you can do with it. What are you waiting for? Check out the BlackBerry Z10 HERE site to learn more.
