Toffee To Go is Scrumptious! (Plus a Coupon Code)

I love Toffee! My whole family does. So I was dying to try Toffee To Go products out as soon as I heard about them.

When I spoke with Lisa the owner I asked if I HAD to share with my hubby. She thought I should if he deserved it and he really is the best hubby ever. I always say I’m the luckiest girl, so I guess it was only fair I let him try it too.

I also need to note that this came at the perfect time… not just because it’s Valentine’s Week but because the hubby and I have recently been on a no-sugar no-salt diet. We are at the beginning of week 3 and needless to say I’ve been craving sugar, butter and salt like a mad woman.

The package I received from Toffee To Go contained 3 different styles of their homemade toffee:

Milk Chocolate Almond

Dark Chocolate Pecan

White Macadamia Nut

I have always strayed away from white chocolate as I’ve never been a fan and always went for the milk chocolate. Not sure how they do it but the Toffee To Go White Chocolate was by far my favorite, second place went to the dark chocolate followed by the milk chocolate. I was a bit shocked that the milk chocolate wasn’t my favorite but it was a pleasant surprise that it wasn’t.

I did share with my hubby (see only children do know how to share). His fave was the Dark Chocolate followed by the White Chocolate. You really can’t go wrong with any of them.

The toffee was super buttery and sugary just the perfect mix. It truly is absolute perfection! The company is owned by Lisa & Jim Schalk and is Jim’s family recipe. They hand make each batch. And you can tell! They were super fresh and just scrumptious!

Wait… can we talk about the adorable packaging? The box and bow it was packaged in is sooo super cute. Perfect for your Valentine!

I Scream, Oprah Screams! Do You Scream for Graeter’s Ice Cream?

Oprah’s Favorite Ice Cream Finally Makes it to the Tri-State Area!

Recently I had the opportunity to try Graeter’s ice cream! How fun! My family and I love ice cream and I had never tried Graeter’s before. It is one of Oprah’s favorite ice creams and who could blame her with the amazing chocolate chunks in all their flavors. Ok almost all their flavors. They use the most amazing chocolate and big chunks of it to boot. Score! Plus now they are available at stores in the tri-state area. Yippee!

Since its founding in 1870 by Louis C. Graeter, Graeter’s French Pot Ice Cream, handmade chocolate confections and fresh baked goods have become traditions in the Queen City. Today the Graeter family still faithfully uses his century old recipes and methods of production. Graeter’s has perfected our traditional French Pot process, making the world’s finest ice cream just two gallons at a time. It’s the only way to achieve the irresistible creaminess that is Graeter’s.

Who doesn’t want to sample ice cream? My family was up to the job. We had the opportunity to sample the different flavors below.

Black Raspberry

This is our Signature Flavor and All-Time Best Seller, an absolute “must-try” for anyone new to Graeter’s. We hand select triple-washed black raspberries from Oregon’s premier grower.

Mint and Chocolate, a marriage of flavors made in heaven. Triple Distilled Peppermint Oil and our signature chips come together in this famously popular classic.

Chocolate and coffee, another undeniable combination of natural flavors! Think tall, double espresso, mocha cappuccino, extra creamy, hand-packed and frozen in a pint.

A chocolate-lover’s dream, this decadent combination of bold chocolate ice cream and our biggest dark chocolate chips promises to astonish even the most die-hard chocolate lover in your family.

Over the last 130 years, we’ve managed to perfect this classic combination of premium vanilla and signature dark chocolate chips. Did we mention it’s our second best seller? No wonder my father in law picked this one as his favorite.

Our creamy coconut ice cream laced with our signature chocolate chips. This one is my personal fave! I love coconut and the combo of coconut with the chocolate is to die for.

Oprah’s Favorite Popcorn & Mine! POP! Gourmet Popcorn Product Review

I am a popcorn addict! There I said it. I eat popcorn every day, I kid you not. I’ve been this way since I was a child. I’ve always eaten popcorn just about every day. So when I saw in the February issue of O The Oprah Magazine which featured POP! Gourmet Popcorn I was dying to try it. One I love popcorn and two if Oprah loves it, I gotta try it.

I reached out to POP! and they were kind enough to provide me with a ton of samples of their incredible popcorn line.

My hubby’s fave was the Chicago style. My father in law preferred all the sweet popcorn. He’s a chocolate lover. He did like the Chicago style probably because of the caramel popcorn incorporated in it.

I really liked the Chicago style because I loved their cheddar popcorn. I’m more of a savory gal over sweet. Although I did love the Sea Salt Caramel popcorn. The loaded baked potato was also really good as well as the White Truffle Bliss (which is Oprah’s fave). If you love curry than the Mumbai is for you. The Asian Spiced Sea Salt was very flavorful too. It was on the sweeter side as compared to the Mumbai which was spicy and uber flavorful. The popcorn was very fresh and tasted like it was just popped.

The breakdown:

Chocolate Salted Caramel Popcorn

Delicious, handcrafted all-natural caramel popcorn topped with rich milk chocolate and sprinkled with delicate gourmet sea salt! The hubby and my favorite.

We start with our delicious caramel covered popcorn. Then we drizzle Guittard’s dark chocolate and white chocolate over the top. My father in law’s favorite.

Bacon Chocolate Caramel Popcorn

Hand-crafted all natural caramel popcorn infused with the original Bacon Salt® and topped with Guittard’s premium milk chocolate! My father in law liked it but the hubby and I were not huge fans.

Truffle Bliss

Delicate tender white popcorn tossed with premium white truffle oil. It’s a truly gourmet experience and Oprah’s personal favorite! Love love love! The hubby didn’t love this one but that’s because he’s not a huge fan of truffle oil like I am. It’s an acquired taste I suppose.

Chicago Style Popcorn

A delicious blend of our classic caramel corn and cheddar corn. Created in Chicago and perfected by us! It’s an all American favorite. The whole family enjoyed. As I mentioned I loved the cheddar!

Asian Spiced Sea Salt Popcorn

Asian sensation combines our premium popcorn with pure olive oil, gourmet sea salt, and a special blend of Asian seasonings. It was nice. It tasted slightly sweet while eating it but leaves a bit of a spicy aftertaste. The hubby did not like this one.

Loaded Baked Potato Popcorn

The tastes of bacon, butter, sour cream, and chives with none of the mess and guilt. Get a bag of this delicious popcorn today. I liked this one a lot. It took me a few bites before it tasted like a loaded potato to me.

Mumbai Delight Popcorn

Pure white gourmet popcorn gently tossed with a secret blend of Naan-N-Curry hand-ground Indian spices! Very flavorful! I think my girlfriend would love this one. She is from Trinidad and loves the spices. If you love Indian food and curry you will love this.

Here are the flavors I want to try next!

Hot Mama Popcorn

This one is hot, hot, HOT! Our delicious popcorn covered in olive oil and jalapeno. It doesn’t get any spicier than this!

Gourmet Cheddar Popcorn

Our signature cheddar popcorn. No powders, no gimmicks. Melted cheddar coated on crunchy popcorn that is finger lickin’ good!

Dill Pickle Popcorn

Delicious, classic dill pickle flavored popcorn. I wonder if Snooki is aware of this popcorn. Someone should tell her stat!
