Saturday Blogher ’12 Recap

Had a wonderful breakfast and made some new friends (that’s the point right?). Got to meet Elly from Buggin Word. If you didn’t meet her you have to hunt her down next year in Chicago. She’s a blast. And she plays the ukulele!

My day of course consisted of walking around the expo space but I also attended some pretty amazing seminars.

I attended Katie Couric’s keynote luncheon and learned all about her new show “Katie” coming September 10th. Trust me this is a show you won’t want to miss. I love how the new show is going to be very women focused as well as social media focused. Katie is also going to be featuring bloggers at each show. Love that! Check out her keynote HERE!

Some of my fave brands:

Duck – You know the Duck Rape folks! Check out there booth! Amazing what you can do with duck tape.

Zicam – Made my own bracelet with charms which I thought was super cute and a nice little remembrance. I took a charm that said “I Love to Blog”. Appropriate right? Can’t wait to try out Zicam next time I feel a cold coming on.

Hershey’s/Wal-Mart S’mores suite – Ok I loved it 2 years ago and loved it again. I mean if you don’t love S’mores there’s seriously something wrong with you. Trivia – The first printed record of the S’mores recipe appeared in a Girl Scout handbook in 1927.

Starbucks – We were among the first to check out the new Starbuck’s Verismo which is not even in stores yet. It’s a super-convenient, single-cup machine for making espresso-based beverages at home. And it’s coming in late 2012 – just in time to be a splendid gift to you or a coffee lover you know.

Kiss & Broadway Nails – As you know from my previous post I love Kiss & Broadway. This time I got to try out the Nail Dress products which I was super excited about. You put on the adhesive nail color and it goes on over your nail. Then you file your nails so that it fits the shape of your nail perfectly. They come in some really cool colors/patterns, even leopard.

They hubby and I grabbed food from The Halal guys because I had been dying to try them. It was delish!

Then I headed to the Land’s End party off-site.

Came back to the Hilton and attended the first ever Blogher Fashion Show. Click HERE to watch a recap.

Headed to the Cheeseburger Party, followed by a goodbye cocktail with my new friends Debbie & Heather.

As you can tell I had a blast at Blogher ’12. What a whirlwind! Can’t wait til next year!
