Not Just for the Rock Star in Your Life – Paper Jamz Pro Series Voice Machine – Product Review

Girl’s Lunch Out recently held a #gloparty Twitter party with gifts from The Big Toy Book.

I won a prize but wasn’t sure what it would be until the Paper Jamz Pro Series Voice Machine arrived at my door! OMG! Now my hubby and I have no children and this product is for ages 8 and up, but I have to tell you it’s a household favorite.

Now if you follow me on Twitter you know that my profile states I’m a former rock star. True story! I’ve played in many a band and even toured for a year with a group based in California right after graduating high school before going to college. This was right up my alley! A portable microphone! With sound effects. Awesome!

Now one would think being a former rock star I was enjoying this the most. While I do enjoy this, my hubby is truly its #1 fan. He has begged to not be a part of this blog post. I begged and pleaded to film him and post a video of him showing his love for this product, he declined. My husband is not a musician by any means. But I always say if there’s a song in your heart sing it. Whether it sounds good or not. So he does. And with the Paper Jamz machine. I literally had to beg to try it out myself. We received it during the holidays so he clipped the machine to his belt and toured the house singing carols, or whatever his heart content. He also enjoyed beckoning everyone to the dinner table. And with the amazing sound affects you can create it’s even more fun.

Needless to say this product is great for kids 8 and up but even more fun I think for the adults in the family. No need to spend a fortune on karaoke machines. This reasonably priced product is the perfect alternative and fun for the whole family.

Forget Getting Burned & Start Getting Bronzed – Hawaiian Tropic Product Review

An ongoing joke I have is that I no longer sunburn because I’m Italian now. You see I’m Irish and I’ve always burned, until I married an Italian and now I actually tan.

Ok truth is, I did marry an Italian. I also started my love fest with Hawaiian Tropic at the same time. I say I tan now because I’m Italian but the truth of the matter is, I owe it all to Hawaiian Tropic. My go-to product of choice is the Hawaiian
Tropic Lightweight Sheer Touch SPF 30
. If you’re Irish or any other fair skin friend, there is nothing on earth I recommend more than this product. Since using it, I have not gotten single sunburn, haven’t peeled and have been a beautiful bronze.

Not only do their products work but they smell incredible and don’t leave you with that sticky feeling. I’ve tried oodles of sun care products and they smell like alcohol and either dry out your skin or make you feel all sticky. When I use Hawaiian Tropic products my skin feels moisturized and protected.

In addition to being completely obsessed with the Sheer Touch SPF 30, I’m also a huge advocate of their Lime Coolada
After Sun Moisturizer
. Not only does it protect your skin and moisturize wonderfully, but I personally feel that it extends the length of your tan.

Once my tan is under way after using the SPF 30 I often switch over to theHawaiian Tropic Crème 10. It is also super moisturizing and smells delish.

So there was no doubt that I was super excited to win the Hawaiian Tropic giveaway from Style and Error! Not only was I going to receive awesome Hawaiian Tropic swag (which as you can see I adore) but I also received a super cute beach tote, sunglasses and flower hair pin to boot.

I also have a new found love for the Hawaiian Tropic Shimmer SPF 15 and  Hawaiian Tropic Shimmer After Sun. Both products leave your skin with a beachy sheen. Not in an oily way though. It gives your skin a little shimmer. Makes sunbathing a little more festive.

Here’s a pic of my awesome prize pack.

Items included are: Beach tote, hat and sunglasses Hawaiian Tropic Shimmer SPF 15 Hawaiian Tropic Shimmer After Sun Hawaiian Tropic Lightweight Sheer Touch SPF 30 Hawaiian Tropic Lightweight Sheer Touch SPF 60 Hawaiian Tropic Crème 10

Take 5 with Teresa Giudice

I’m so excited that “Fabulicious” will be out in stores May 3rd! Your first book “Skinny Italian” was a huge hit. How does your new book differ from the first?

Both cookbooks are my traditional Italian recipes but this FABULICIOUS! covers it all-pot lucks, desserts, how to make homemade pasta and bread, you name it it’s in there.

Since you’re a mom on the go, what’s a 5 star meal that’s easy to make for other moms that are constantly on the go?

FABULICIOUS! is full of easy and kid-friendly recipes but one great recipe for mom’s on the go is the “Real Housewife Rigatoni Bake” because it has everything kids like with vegetables snuck in and leftovers for the next day.

Favorite Jersey restaurant?

Nicola’s in Totowa, NJ.

You have a jewelry line “Terese”. Where did you get the inspiration for your collection and where can people purchase items from your collection?

I love costume jewelry and this project is in its beginning stages.

I’m a born and raised Jersey girl and I’m a HUGE fan of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The new season starts May 16th at 9pm on BRAVO. What can we expect to see this season?

You’re just going to have to watch and see!

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend – Well usually…

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Well usually. They aren’t when it comes to Felice Pasquale jewelers in Robbinsville, NJ. (Yes they are part of the Pratico family of jewelers.)

I found a ring at Felice Pasquale’s in June and fell in love with it. I mean loved it. Rachel Zoe would fully agree and think it was “ba-na-na’s”. I inquired about the cost. They gave me a lower price than what they gave my husband when we went in together at a later date to look at it a second time. Plus, they originally told me 3-5 days to size the ring. The owner also said that he made the ring there (in house).

My husband went back prior to my birthday to purchase the ring. When he went in alone the price went up again higher than the last time. So the price changed 3 different times. So much for being consistent. A female salesperson remembered my husband and remembered that they quoted him a certain price which was the original price I was given. He bought the ring and made sure the price included sizing (since that’s typically an additional fee). He left with the ring. Yippee (or so I thought)!

I received the ring on my birthday. I was ecstatic!  I called Felice Pasquale’s immediately to find out when I could get it sized and how long it would take. I was very anxious to get the ring on my finger as I loved it. Have I mentioned I loved it? They then told me 5-7 days (more than what was originally estimated). I kept the ring that day in order to show friends/family and brought it in the following Monday to be sized. When I dropped it off on August 16th they still said 5-7 days to be sized. On the 7th day we called. No ring. I didn’t get the ring back until August 27th. Yes that’s right, it took 2 weeks to get it back from being sized.

Problem is, they didn’t size it properly. I finally got the ring back after waiting longer than I should have but it wasn’t sized correctly. Between everything that had already happened and their not so friendly demeanor (you would think with the economy the way it is people would be friendly and happy for business), I took the ring and was going to take it elsewhere to be sized properly. I brought it home and my husband and I looked at it. Not only did they not size it right, but there was a mark from where they cut it on the bottom of the band and the inside of the bottom was all messed up. It was awful craftsmanship! (Need I remind you they supposedly crafted the ring themselves to begin with.)

So on August 28th we dropped the ring off to our good friends at Daves Jewelers in Hamilton, NJ. They checked the size of the ring and it had been sized to a 7.5 instead of the 8 that it was supposed to be. They promised that they would take good care of my ring, size it correctly and fix the poor craftsmanship that occurred.

It took them 2 weeks to fix all the faults in the ring that occurred from the improper sizing and lousy craftsmanship at Felice Pasquale’s. I received my ring and Daves Jewelers  did an incredible job. I should have gone to them to begin with.

Needless to say I will never shop at Felice Pasquale’s store again. While they might have nice things, they have awful customer service, are overpriced, lie, have poor craftsmanship and more. I suggest you heed my advice and don’t shop there as well.

Are diamonds your best friend? Then head to Daves Jewelers  and you will not be disappointed. They will take good care of you, with their low prices, superb craftsmanship and all with a smile on their face. They are no doubt in my mind the best jeweler in Mercer County.
